Detroit Tough is a gym that believes in mental and physical toughness. At Detroit Tough, we think outside the box. We are an open gym that also offers over 45 classes per week with some of the top coaches in the country. Our unique and innovative training philosophy allows for any person at any physical level to progress and reach their goals at a safe and manageable pace. Corktown Barbell

Corktown Barbell is a strength training class based on measurable strength gains in our 3 base lifts, squats, bench press and dead lifts.  Multiple training methods will be utilized from German Volume, Cube, Westside and Wendler. Each class will be structured with technique, form and progression. 60 minute class.

Core Strength & Cardio

An infusion of high temp calisthenics, weightlifting, andabdominal exercises. Focused on building a strong core, increasing stamina, and improving muscle endurance.

Bodyweight Warrior

Bodyweight involves pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, running and planks. Your body is your best gym.

Corktown Run Club

Run further. Run faster. Run injury free. Eight weeks of structured training cycles designed to make you a more efficient runner. Each class will build upon the last with an emphasis on specific, individual goals, while running and training in a group atmosphere throughout some of Detroit's most historic areas including Corktown, Downtown, and the Riverfront.

All levels are welcome. Groups will be tiered based on running capabilities and speed. Nobody runs alone, and nobody gets left behind. Beginners will build endurance with a structured run/walk ratio format. Experienced runners will increase speed and endurance by improving technique and using formatted interval training. Our main goal will be consistent, steady improvement focusing on mechanics and efficiency, building a solid aerobic base, increasing race speed, and improving strength to weight ratio. 

Train Like A Savage

D-Tough Yoga

Basic to mid-level postures designed to increase flexibility, strength, focus, and balance. Combines breathing with movement to help increase body awareness through regular practice. 

Self Defense 101

Learn situational awareness, strikes, kicks, and how to protect yourself. Led by a former DNR Survival Tactics Instructor, this class is available to all levels.
